First Install
After you have downloaded MealTrak from the app store, find the MealTrak icon and open the app. You will be prompted to Allow Notifications. Select Allow. This enables MealTrak to run silently in the background. Essential for some of the automatic features of the app.
Important! The first time you run MealTrak you create an account with a Google Play Store registered email. This creates your Cloud Storage account for data security and will allow you to gain access to subscriptions or free trials. After creating the account you will not have to login again unless doing a fresh install. Recommend using Continue with Google for login. You will not be able to subscribe if you use an email address not registered with the Google Play Store.
Initial Configuration will run automatically. Here you will start entering the address of your home depot. This should match your logs to ensure the proper time-zone is selected. By pressing the Search it will attempt to resolve your Prov/State and time zone. These can also be set manually. Verify that Country, Prov/State, and Time Zone are correct.
Trip Numbering. MealTrak will allow manual entry of Trip Numbers, or it can prepopulate and auto increment them for you. Auto Increment can be switched off later. For Driver Assigned, enter the next trip number. This can be changed later. TIP: If you are manually backfilling trips for the year, set this to the first trip number in the year and work chronologically forward.
Border Mode. Cross Border will detect border crossings automatically (Location and GPS Enabled) and enable the Manual Cross Border button on the Home Screen. Domestic mode removes the Manual Border Cross button from the Home Screen and will only check for Furthest Point Traveled when GPS and Location are enabled. GPS can be enabled later.
ELD Mode allows per minute resolution and behaves like ELD. Paper mode automatically snaps time stamps to 15 minute increments to match paper logs making it easier. TIP: If your ELD fails and you switch to paper logging, toggle this switch. It will only affect future entries. Set it back to ELD when switching back.

PERMISSIONS REQUIRED. MealTrak requires Location permission to function properly, Click OPEN SETTINGS to be directed to App permissions. Click on Permissions and tap on Location. Allow while using the app and turn on Use precise location. Exit back to the Home Screen
GPS TRACKING IS DISABLED. Go to Settings in the menu (three dots top right). Enable GPS Tracking. Return to the Home Screen. The message will change to GPS TRACKING ACTIVE, If it doesn’t change, check that Location Services are turned on. Usually accessed via pulldown.
